Mornevert is the author of several best-selling novels, including Mission Oxygène (1986), Isabelle (1990), La mémoire de l’Oiseau (1996), Passerelle Bankovski (2005); Homo Futuris (March, 2007), eXogenes, (August, 2007), Mauvaise Foi (January, 2008) and Guerre Froide (February, 2008 in Canada). With the exception of Mission Oxygène, which deals with the destruction of the Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior, all of these are political thrillers.

At the École Spéciale Militaire de St Cyr, the École des Langues Etrangères Militaires in Strasburg, the Institut d'Étude Politique de Paris, and the Institut Nationale des Langues et Civilisations Orientales, Mornevert trained in information management, human network management methodology and languages. He then specialized in accounting, multi-tier banking, and heritage management. He is now chairman and controlling shareholder of Hampton Research Ltd., an international research and audit company specialized in the banking and financial industry, based in London, England.
